Mac Crontab

Environment

Mac OS X 10.7.5

Situation

When using crontab -e to edit the cron table, crontab: no crontab for XXX occurs.

Solution

Step1. sudo su –

Step2. crontab -u [user] -e

Step3. Set the schedule. ex. 5 * * * * nohup [script] > /dev/null &

Step4. After saving the config, “crontab: installing new crontab” is displayed.

Parameter

-e Edit

-l List

-r Remove

(The user crontabs are stored in /var/at/tabs)
